What are CBD Flower Infusions?

Want one hell of a first date? Then skip the bouquet and get the CBD flower instead. Just light this baby up and watch your tensions melt away. You can even take it a step further and indulge in CBD infusions. Now that’s a step in the right direction if you want to make the right impression. We’ll go into deeper detail about CBD infusions, so don’t get ahead of yourself! Make sure you know what you’re doing and exactly how to do it!

But that’s precisely what we’re here for, so let’s get into it, shall we?

So what is a CBD flower?

CBD flower is a cannabis bud that helps people relax without getting high. Now, while it’s great to escape the daily stress of life, some of the side effects of cannabis can be unwanted—one of the most unpleasant side effects being paranoia. Luckily, one of the most significant benefits of a CBD flower (0% THC) is that it can give you all the goodness of the cannabis plant without the high and panic part.

This particular CBD bud can also contain THC, which is the part of the cannabis plant that gets you high. There are different CBD flower strains. If we go into CBD flower and THC flower details, we can say the CBD flower or hemp flower will contain more CBD and extremely low THC levels. But with a THC flower, you’ll get the full experience with the high and relaxation all wrapped up in one tiny bud.

For now, let’s just focus on hemp flowers. And the best way to consume them.

CBD Infusions

CBD comes in every shape or form. From tinctures, gummies, and sodas to lotions and bath bombs. But ever wonder what the best way to consume CBD is? Specifically, how can we get the best effects from a CBD flower?

Well, one sure-fire way to get CBD into your system and bring out those good feels is by a little something called CBD infusions.

We’re familiar with the rolling, sealing, and smoking options. But it’s 2021, and we’ve got cooler and tastier ways to sit back and relax with a CBD flower. So instead of smoking, we can work with CBD infusions. One of the best CBD infusions is with oil. It’s easy, and you get to make a million other things with it!

This CBD oil recipe is the easiest we’ve got, and just imagine the baked goodies you can get with it!

How to make CBD Infused Oil?

CBD infusion can be carried out in many different ways. But one of the most popular and, in our opinion, rewarding ways is the CBD oil infusion. This is because, with oil, you can carry forward the CBD-infused goodness into other foods, with a bit of stir fry action or some baked delicacies after a long day.

Not to mention it’s super easy.

This is all you have to do:

  • Take your choice of oil and put it in a pot.
  • Put the pot on the stove and cook the oil until hot and thinned out.
  • Then lower the heat to its minimum potential and add your crushed CBD bud into the oil. Simmer on low heat for up to 4 hours. Add water when necessary.
  • Once the time is up, take the pot off the stove and let the CBD-infused liquid cool down.
  • Once cool, take a cheesecloth and strain out the liquid in a bowl or glass jar. Make sure to squeeze as hard as you can and get every last drop of that CBD-infused goodness.
  • Discard the remnants in the cloth and wash them out.
  • Put the strained liquid overnight in the fridge to harden.
  • Once hardened, the oil will separate from the water. Remove the water and discard it.
  • Allow the oil to soften at room temperature until you’re ready to use it.
  • You can store it in the fridge for up to 6 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Now just think of the cookies, cakes, or even fried goodies you can make with this kind of CBD infusion. How much better is that than simply smoking a CBD flower. You get so many more treats out of it! What’s more, is that you’re getting all the benefits of CBD with everything you make. You can use your CBD oil for pain relief, anxiety, or even better sleep.

Just whip up a batch of cookies and let the sugar and CBD play their role.

The best CBD flower for you

Now, to make CBD oil stronger, you need to know what strain you’re getting and the best CBD flower for you.

We came up with a list of the top brands for CBD flowers:

  • Cannaflower: Gives you a wide range of strains. So if you’re looking to make that potent CBD oil, you know where to look.
  • Cheef Botanicals: You get what you pay for with this one, good quality and value for money all in one.
  • Secret Nature: Get the best strains at the fairest price! Save up and smoke up (or give CBD infusions a try)!

Of course, trial and error is the best way to truly determine what strain is best for you. The time it takes for the flower to kick in and the consumption method are all factors to consider when using a CBD flower.

CBD oil vs. CBD Flower

We’ve mentioned the various forms of CBD available now, but the question is, which form gives you the quickest results? The most commonly compared are CBD oil and CBD flower. With these two being one of the most popular ways to consume CBD, CBD oils are in high demand and trusted for their quick and effective benefits. A CBD flower, however, is not taken too as much. But this is not because of its lacking nature; in fact, the benefits of a CBD flower are quicker and better than CBD oil. The only drawback is that you have to make a little more effort in consuming it.

CBD flowers can be crushed, rolled, and smoked, or you could take it a step further with CBD infusions. CBD infusions other than oil can be in teas or coffees as well. The point being, it is a slightly longer process. But it is definitely worth the results. CBD oils come in pretty bottles and attractive packaging, and they can be squeezed into a vape or taken directly through a tincture. It’s quick, easy and therefore the more popular option.

Generally, a CBD flower, when smoked, will take about 15 minutes to activate within your system. This is because direct inhalation allows the lungs to absorb the CBD immediately.

This is also faster than CBD oil, even when you vape or smoke it. What’s more, is that CBD flower or hemp flower is more likely to give you an entourage effect because it is more in its natural form. CBD oil is usually stripped of all ingredients except the CBD, so it may have a cleaner feel but not the same intensity as a CBD flower.

The entourage effect is the combined benefits of the synergy created when consuming CBD and THC together. While you may also find low to zero THC flowers, the ones with maximum efficiency contain THC. So when you’re smoking or consuming these CBD buds, you’re actually taking in fragrant terpenes and therapeutic cannabinoids that are working together to influence each other’s benefits. For example, CBD will elevate the benefits of THC in relieving chronic pain or reducing seizures during an epileptic attack.

CBD Infusions and how we got there

When you’re chopping and crushing, prepping for that CBD infusion, ever wonder where these green beauties come from and how they make you feel oh so good?

We know it occurs naturally and who better to take care of you than mother nature herself.

When the cannabis plant produces its cannabinoids, they appear in their raw forms, known as their acid forms. The natural form of CBD and THC are CBDA and THCA, respectively. Once the raw cannabis plant is heated, the acidic structure of the cannabinoids changes to a neutral form, i.e., THC and CBD. This process is known as the decarboxylation of CBD.

Flowers for the win!

Think of CBD flowers like a glow-up from traditional flowers. It’s a sure-fire way for you and your date to sit back, relax and get to know each other without any of those nerves getting in the way.

Although, if you really want to up your game on date number two, use CBD infusion to diffuse the tension! What could be nicer than staying at home and cooking together? We already know food brings people together, but it can get even better!

Just imagine the garlic and onions sautéing in that delicious CBD oil. Then you add the crushed tomatoes, the oregano, and savory little spices. Mix all that CBD goodness together and lather it onto your spaghetti and meatballs. Swirl up a nice big bite onto your fork and dig in!

What a perfect night in! All the tasty benefits of the CBD flower bringing your hearts together and taking your stress away. So we all know what happens when you have spaghetti and meatballs on a date. It’s the perfect moment for the Lady and the tramp style kiss! So if you thought you guys couldn’t get any closer, now you can!
