There have been many reports that vapor cigarettes cause some side effects similar to allergy symptoms. To be entirely sure that the e-cigs are the problem, you need to research this fact beforehand.
Luckily, we at the Artisan Vapor Company have done that the investigation for you. If you are a new vaper who has just quit smoking, you could see some of the following symptoms:
#1 Mouth Sores
This can be due to vape causing dry mouth and creating an environment that leads to mouth sores. There are quite a few solutions to this problem:
Wash your teeth three times per day (if you aren’t already) or use mouthwash regularly.
Drink plenty of fluids to counteract the mouth dryness. In fact, you should be doing that already while vaping. Staying hydrated is always a good idea, even if you’re not vaping.
Eat mints or sour candies that lead to increased saliva production. The saliva is anti-bacterial, so it helps quite a lot. Just don’t pop so many candies that you ruin your teeth!
On the other hand, it could be that quitting tobacco caused your sores. That process creates something called “cessation symptoms” and is common in many people who have quit smoking before.
#2 Headaches or Nausea
Again, this could also be an end sign. If you seem to be experiencing many problems after starting with vapor cigarettes, give it a rest for a few days.
After that, if your migraines stop, there could be a few explanations:
When you buy e-liquid online, try looking into vape juice that has less nicotine. It could be that your juice had a higher level of nicotine that was causing your problems.
Otherwise, it could be the propylene glycol (PG) content in the juice. Some people have reported allergies from PG. Switch to 100% vegetable glycerin (VG) content on your juice.
Nausea happens for the same reasons outlined above. Even if your cheap vape juice doesn’t contain a lot of nicotine, you should only use your e-cig in moderation.
#3 Sore Throat or Cold Symptoms
This can also be related to the PG problem. Switching to a VG-only juice should help you out in the long run.
Again, if you’ve been a smoker for a long time and you’re just starting out vaping, see if the problem doesn’t go away on its own.
Until all the toxins from the tobacco smoke explain their way out of your lungs, you will experience cold-like symptoms anyway.
In any case, you could always visit the e-cigarette forum and talk about your vapor cigarettes problems there. Many other vapers share your experience, so it’s good to have somebody to discuss this stuff.
